FAREWELL DINNER PARTY

Tonight we said farewell to wonderful friends. The Hodges' (or Hodgi as we call them) have become very near and dear to our hearts. I met Jenna through a few organizations, BSF & MOPS before we finally realized we were neighbors. We lived in the same condo complex and we both went to college in Tallahassee, where she is from and where my sister currently lives. It was like we were meant to be friends. She had a boy just a few months older than mine and in the two and half years of knowing her I could not ask for a better neighbor. We became like sisters, and ran errands for each other and watched each other's kids whenever we could. So when I heard the news of them moving to Jacksonville, you can imagine the sadness I felt when I realized I would be losing such an amazing neighbor and friend.

Hand calligraphed invitations & envelopes

As a way for them to remember us and Miami, I decided to host a dinner party. We live in a small condo so to have a lot of people is nearly impossible, but with a few guests we can turn our dinning room into a great room that fits 8 comfortably. Everyone was required to get fancy. The gentlemen wore tuxes and the ladies, cocktail dresses.

The details of the evening came together wonderfully. The invitations were each hand calligraphed with details to match the decor of the event. The four course menu that was served throughout the evening was delicious. The place setting pictured first was hand painted by my mother, a treasure I bring out for special occasions. The dinner party turned out to be quite a hit and everyone left with full bellies and hearts.

We are sad to see our friends go, but excited for them of the many opportunities that will come their way because of this move. We love you Rob + Jenna and know the Lord will continue to bless you on your new endeavors.
